3 stars: This app is nice, when it works. It has two bothersome, but not critical, flaws. First, it seldom starts when my phone is first connected. I have to disconnect and reconnect my phone two to five times before AA starts. Second, it does not access my phone's contact list. When I try to use voice to make a call, I get an unhelpful message from Google. Instead I have to get out of AA and use my car's voice system (Ford Sync) to make the call.
4 stars: On the whole, lots of improvements from about a year, which was when I last tried using it. Few improvements could be around adding 3rd party messaging apps to be accessible from the app's home screen. And the app thinks I'm driving as soon as I try to navigate using Waze (Go now), and doesn't allow me to scroll through playlists on play music after that, without the \
3 stars: I'm still on the fence about this app because in order for it to work properly for my Pixel 3 XL, I HAVE TO use the Google-brand USB cable... Did I get sucked into Apple and their priority world, and not realize it? The app itself does work but since there is limited third-party app support, it does not completely fulfill its full vision of preventing you from looking at your phone while driving.
