4 stars: The app is good. Pretty basic. Has a roku-heavy homepage the shows you all the stuff they have available to you, and allows you to connect to and control a Roku device. The remote feature is a little buggy for me. Has trouble connecting most of the time, and always loses connection and sometimes has to be restarted whenever I minimize the app or lock my phone screen. Otherwise easy to control. Simple but effective.
3 stars: I would marry this. The Roku box, the app that turns my tablet and husband's phone into a remote I love it all. Best ever. Never lose the remote again! UPDATE: it has connection issues. It will stop connecting to the box despite Internet being fine (show and other aps on device working fine.)
5 stars: I got this when my remote to my roku tv broke. I love it! Typing choices are so much easier with my phone instead of remote, my older phones all have the app, so no matter which roku unit ( we have 3 including rokutv) ease of use is fabulous! Also can use earphones for privacy so as not to disturb nearby neighbors! One of my most used apps!
3 stars: The recent update seems to have slowed down the app. It's never connected via the home screen widget now until I open the app. And I can't press and hold to scroll through episodes or turn up the volume on my role TV, it sucks having to tap 50 plus times sometimes.
