5 stars: Reading all the negative reviews makes me wonder what I'm doing right. A word of advice to anyone with issues, get a proper well built usb cable for your vehicle. Back when I thought the app was the issue, I replaced the USB cable with a high quality, high bandwidth one and have never had an issue again. I have also not had issues with wireless connections either.
4 stars: Moving from IOS to Android, it's just not quite as polished an experience. Had to find a music player that worked, and that would just find my music folders and not every single piece of media on my phone, for example. I also liked Apple maps showing me stop signs and red light cameras on route. The alternate route features in Google maps seem better. It's vastly improved from the first iteration of android auto that I played with.
3 stars: After using the app in my car for two years it suddenly won't work any more. Went into a store after listening to a book through the app on my drive and hasn't worked since. Tried every suggestion and still nothing works. The app is great when it works, but when it doesn't- it really, really doesn't work and seems unfixable.
2 stars: It has been great in the past, but recently I see that it takes over the native car functionality of seeing recent calls, and having the phone directory on the car. The only way I can lookup a contact and call them while driving is via android auto now. Can't figure out the settings to do it.
