5 stars: I love Google Voice. I have been using Google Voice for a long, long, time. I started using it when I was faced with some hardtimes that left me displaced and without a phone. Communication is the key to success and with Googke Voice I was able to have a phone number that would recieve incoming calls and messages. As long as I checked my email, there was an open line of communication without an actual phone handy at all times.
4 stars: This is an indispensable app for me, but does have some room for improvement. My biggest complaint is that the text box in messages does not expand vertically when you type a long SMS. also, with the expanding features in Google messages, I would like to see more of those come to this app, or even be able to use your Google Voice number with Google messages.
5 stars: 8 years using Google voice as my main number. Has made carrier switching the easiest thing. Ever since the app itself could make and receive calls it's a no brainier. I have 8 years of texts, voicemails, calls, all available. My kids' voicemails they left 8 years ago are fantastic. Hearing them as teens again. I use the app on iOS and Android and love it.
5 stars: Update, as of the update of January 27, 2020 the app is working as intended. Thank you Google. I can only use the app to text. The phone function has not worked since the February update.
