5 stars: My husband was recently diagnosed with diabetis, I started only to support him. We both started using this app and really enjoy it, as it has allowed us to keep track of what, and how much we eat. We can also add foods and their nutrients to the list. The graph shows our progress, for a visual as an encouragement. Our A1c for Both of us has dropped and so has the weight. Thank you.
4 stars: fitness pal, which I enjoyed, stopped working for me so I went looking for am alternative free app. I experimented with a few apps but found Fat Secret to be my next best option. It's good. My only real complaint is that their food database isn't as full as I'd like so I often have to enter foods that are
4 stars: while I love the fact that fat secret offers so much without annoying ads or pushes to Go premium, I don't see a way via the app to find friends that are also using the app and connect with them. The website has a huge community with lots of great conversations. But none of that seems to be accessed by the app, including the challenges etc.
2 stars: Good but somehow changes the sync'd fitness data coming from Google app. Adds 100s of steps that aren't there. You can see it counting up ehen you're sitting still. Also the week starting on Monday with no option to change is a pain. I know it's ISO but in North America (aside from Quebec) the week starts Sunday. Not a big deal on a free app but a deal breaker for paid.
