4 stars: I've been playing at the new level 7 and am afraid there are problems with AI. I've won 5 straight matches easily to 0 for the CPU. I scored 77 points to 37. While I've played under level 5, it was much harder. For example, my level 5 points scored sits at 804 to CPU 727. It isn't pure luck as I've doubled at a time when the CPU should have never accepted it, but did.

5 stars: Nice graphics, statistics and ability to play off line. However, I see no improvement in the new engine. It still has the fatal flaw where preference is not given to stones remaining on the opponent's home board, so it gives up a backgammon that is easily avoided. Otherwise great app.
3 stars: I played this a lot a couple of years ago and it disturbed me that the AI doesn't priorities getting his chips out of my home base when it's obvious I'm going to win 2 points if he doesn't. That's still the case today. Other than that it does what is says: you can play backgammon.
