3 stars: I was subscribed to AllTrails Pro for a year and loved the community but I will not renew my pro subscription, mostly because of the app experience. Planning ahead and downloading maps was always buggy for me, I was often not able to view downloaded maps altogether without network connection in the field. I also found it counterintuitive to load and record trails. For me, it is not worth $30 per year.
3 stars: In theory it's the perfect app. However I constantly have trouble using it. Planning ahead is a nightmare, as GPS points to drive to have more than once taken me to the middle of nowhere not close to the trails. Trying to identify which trail you're on is impossible and half the time the app thinks I'm miles away. This is not a good app. I can't see spending $30/year for this.
4 stars: all trails is an excellent app, easy to use and quite friendly. the trail rating and information is very helpful, especially when trying plan for a family walk, be it seniors or children. I can only talk about the free version. I do not like annual payments and have not purchased the full version. I may purchase a lifetime membership if it was $50.
