4 stars: not very happy about the app.. category wise news like technology/science/business disappears every alternate day.. not sure what's that strategy by Google. The option of having customised category news the way it was there in previous news and weather app is lot better.. Hope Google listens to this and rectifies
4 stars: Overall this is a great application for getting the latest news and updates on subjects of interest to you and I love the nice clean and material UI. Dark mode is absolutely brilliant and I hope this feature with eventually travel across all Google apps. It loses one star as it is buggy when it comes to getting notifications, most days I don't get any and then maybe a couple. This could be server side changes.... maybe?
5 stars: I love the Google news app it is really awesome/friendly it lets me select stuff I care about the most and then also suggests some things as well that I might be interested in. It also gives me more recent news with what's going on in the world and I choose to pay attention to it or not. I like having more control on things and that's what it lets me do. Not the other way around where it controls me.
