4 stars: Requires access to your contacts and doesn't work if you deny it. Edit: Strictly speaking, a Google account isn't required to view a public calendar (some light googling reveals a trivial method). However, the explanation is appreciated. I would suggest that you put that information in the app description, since I can't possibly be the only person turned off by the apparently unrelated permissions request.
