3 stars: Hik-Connect apk download - Last version more stable. I get random device offline and failed to connect now on all my nvrs. also it's too easy to accidentally remove a device (especially for an inexperienced user just pushing buttons to make it work) go back to older version. Also would like to share device to other regions but cannot.
3 stars: Hik-Connect apk download - Captured Photos and Videos not working. They look corrupted when opened from gallery. Would've been a 5star if that can be fixed.

2 stars: - Clunky, unintuitive, incredibly frustrating. Set up an account easily enough, used a QR code to access my DVR, great, but when I want to share? It tells me to choose a device but offers me none to choose from... on the Web page you go to add a dvr, it asks for an eight digit serial number, when the one on the DVR is twentyfour digits long.... baffling. Look how many similar Hikvision apps there are, all doing roughly the same thing, all equally badly. After an hour wrestling with this app I am ready to kill someone.
3 stars: - Buggy - e.g. If I disarm Alarm notification in the app then it also disables the basic event motion detection on the camera (a new DS-2CD2035FWD-I) . The smart events are unaffected. And for some unknown reason the app keeps re-enabling the Alarm notifications after I've switched it off. Everytime I then go into disable it, I have to go back to the camera's web interface and re-enable the event notification
