Our journey:

This project was started at AuqaHack's 2018 hackathon in Toronto ON. We did not win the competition but we believed that this was a practical solution.The goal of this app is to reduce endocrine disruptive chemicals from getting into our water supply through consumer awareness.

Problem:

About 3 out four products contain endocrine disruptive substances.
About 16 thousand Canadians face endocrine related issues.

Endocrine disrupters are chemicals that pollute our water supply and interrupt normal hormone activity. These chemicals are being flushed down our drain on a massive scale.

The uninformed users of these products may make chemical cocktails when applying more than one product.

This app was made to make it more visible to users.
We are unbiased - We just want to make our water usable for future generations.

Our solution is an app that allows users to scan harmful ingredients in common consumer products.
