5 stars: Avast Mobile Security - Antivirus & AppLock apk download - I've been using Avast since 2005. As with all antivirus, you never want one company to own all of your phone. Which is why it's better to have one specific program for each duty. The specs of Avast as a general virus detection and antitheft, have always been solid for me. Where as wifi boosting, and charger boosting are used with other programs.
2 stars: Avast Mobile Security - Antivirus & AppLock apk download - I have used avast on pcs for many years. But this invasive monstrosity is an insult to users. I am getting several notifications about features i have not turned on every time i open my phone. Advertising is one thing, but this continual self marketing is pathetic It is just too annoying to tolerate. I am deleting this SW today. .
3 stars: - Unlike other anti-malware mobile apps, Avast's offering doesn't have a huge performance hit on my phone. It's fairly unobtrusive and sits quietly in the background, ensuring the safety my mobile devices. The app doesn't remember networks for more than 30 days or when you switch networks, like going from home to work/school, which is a pain. It should be able to remember a network until there is a change in the network config. The offering of additional, paid features is becoming a bit more intrusive lately. 😡
