3 stars: Been using Signal for a couple of years now. Until a couple of months ago, the app was great. Lately, when I open the app it often doesn't request/accept my fingerprint to unlock. Sometimes the home button becomes unresponsive and sometimes the keyboard doesn't pop up so I can't type in a message. I generally have to force close and reopen the app. For a frequently used messaging app, this niggly issue has become quite frustrating.
4 stars: Good features, generally easy to use. One major issue: the app uses your phone number. For a messaging service that's supposed to be the most secure, that's a pretty glaring issue. Anyone who has your phone number can message you. Please address this. Change the way accounts are signed up so that it is only tied to a username.
5 stars: After learning about this app, I definitely have come to appreciate it. I can safely send certain messages, pertaining to my career and having to use the lingo, and know it's safe. Plus you can set a time that will automatically burn messages once opened and read, guaranteeing safety.
5 stars: This so is great. I love the added security, knowing which messages/phone calls are encrypted and which aren't. It's easy to use and has a lot of the same texting features as Google did. Only down sides that I can find so far: 1. I can only send one picture at a time 2.
