3 stars: The app is incredible. Knowing that I have access to photos long gone from my gallery is amazing. HOWEVER, the new policy, which puts an end to free unlimited storage is a big big bummer. I mean, money is great, but forcing us to buy more storage when it eventually runs out is for me a terrible move from Google. It probably won't change, but I'm just expressing my opinion here :/
3 stars: Pretty good, but the problem is that if you switch phones or restore a phone from a backup it will think all your images and videos you have are new ones and back them up twice. Since there is no tool that will detect these duplicates, you will then have to manually go through thousands of pictures and delete them. This is rather annoying if you want to keep the originals locally stored, especially on a new device.
5 stars: I love how Google Photos organizes photos not only by date, but by face (recognition), and how it offers logical suggestions that I usually accept. For instance, I receive suggestions for photos that I might want to rotate or archive. The editing features are straightforward which makes them easy to use. Overall, it helps me to easily organize and search for photos.
