5 stars: Keeps getting better. Adding the temperature to the screen is long overdue. Now if weather radar could be added to maps so you can see where it's raining or snowing would be incredibly helpful.
3 stars: This app has the potential for much more than it actually is. First, connection with the car should be via bluetooth (why do we need cable these days?). Second, the app is a little clunk as it seems not much effort has been made to optimize it. The compatibility with other apps is limited. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper for auto makers to just mirror the cell phone in the infotainment monitor? I am not sure why reinventing the wheel.
3 stars: Very useful as a map app with driving instructions. Only works if my Google phone is attached with a high quality cable. Bluetooth connection or low quality cable \u003d no map. Another MAJOR problem. It does not use the route I select on my phone. It always selects the most direct route and it is hard to modify. I don't know how it compares to other apps, but compared to nothing, it is pretty good.
3 stars: Good potential. I love everything about this app, when it works. Half the time, my phone (pixel 3) is not being recognized. I think it's more frustrating knowing I have it but it doesn't work that before the era of GPS all together. At least back then you had noone else but your stupid self to blame. I just wish google cared about software the way apple does. There, I said it.
