I did have a problem with the Myki registration on GPay until a message about 'other apps writing on the screen' appeared with the recent version. After seeing that, I turned off such permissions and *finally* I could add my debit card and set up payments to Myki. Perhaps this issue could be highlighted more for people setting up Myki payments.
