3 stars: Many wrong identifications. i cannot accurately identify a Poplar... one of the most common trees in North America. Maples wrongly identified. Cannot tell the difference between a Chokeberry and Serviceberry Ostrich Fern.. I have many but not according to Plantsnap. I do not have full trust the results. Edit: Impressed with cusomer service response so I upped the review from 1 to 3 stars (because they are trying to resolve the issue).
5 stars: I use PlantSnap occasionally - whenever I see a plant and wonder what it is. It's like having a botanical guru in your pocket! It's been very accurate when I already had a good idea of what the plant was, and it's impressed my friends. I haven't looked for an alternative app because I'm 100% happy with PlantSnap.
5 stars: You *could* pay for this, but I use the free stuff. I deal with very few ads, and get 10 ID's a day. as a casual gardener that's more than I really need, so if i see something i like somewhere i snap a picture so I can remember it for my own garden. super freaking useful info on all identified plants too!
3 stars: Effective but unstable. I'm able to identify a lot of plants with a combination of this app and a little googling. It's much better at searching than any other options I've found. However, it crashes a lot, particularly when trying to upload an image for identification. Hopefully they will work out the bugs.
