5 stars: I use PlantSnap occasionally - whenever I see a plant and wonder what it is. It's like having a botanical guru in your pocket! It's been very accurate when I already had a good idea of what the plant was, and it's impressed my friends. I haven't looked for an alternative app because I'm 100% happy with PlantSnap.
3 stars: Effective but unstable. I'm able to identify a lot of plants with a combination of this app and a little googling. It's much better at searching than any other options I've found. However, it crashes a lot, particularly when trying to upload an image for identification. Hopefully they will work out the bugs.
3 stars: this app has it's heart on the right place but is still not very accurate. i keep testing with unusual plants i find and it comes up with some very incorrect identifications. ok but when one has narrow thin leaves but then shows pictures with big wide leaves, there clearly is a long way to got to get this app working effectively. might aswell tell you that your onions are sunflowers... it's that bad
5 stars: Love this app! it's been very helpful identifying things I've found growing in my flower beds. I often find things and wonder if the previous owner planted them or if they are weeds. Once identified, I use the information to determine if the plant should stay or be removed.
