5 stars: I dont know why this app has so many bad ratings. I got it when the battery died on my actual remote, unfortunately for the first time connection you need to have the fire stick home screen already on your TV. After that, however, it works like a charm. It disconnects every time you exit the app, but it usually takes at most 2 seconds to reconnect.
3 stars: I forgot my fire stick remote and needed one so I downloaded this to try. So far it works. Disconnected a couple times on me but its holding. Not sure if I can change what my remote looks like instead of the slide version. I think I missed the quick tutorial in the beginning. Overall it works and Im happy I dont have to remember my fire stick remote all of the time!
3 stars: It's a great app because my Firestick always runs out of juice. However connection issues are terrible. When I'm using the app to control the shows on TV, I cannot switch to another app, because then I can't connect with my TV at all. I suggest a floating widget for this app be designed, so switching between apps is convenient without any connection issues.
4 stars: Good app but needs to allow install on SD card for Android. Too many apps are competing for internal storage, that's why SD cards were invented. Soon I'll have to choose which apps to keep and which to dump, and eventually delete this one because I don't have to have this app on my phone.
