5 stars: Owned upto iPhone 4 but not Apple Watch. Switched to Samsung phones from Note 4 to Note 8 now. Owned all the Gear watches except Gear 2 and just recently got Gear Fit 2 Pro (name not too catchy tho). I'm a swimmer and this is by far the best with its waterproofing and swim friendly apps (Speedo On and Swimming mode in Samsung Health, latter which I actually prefer, more in another post). The Samsung Gear is an excellent user-friendly companion to the whole Samsung smart phone ecology. I'm impressed. I just wish the new watches supported Kakao Talk and/or Whatsapp.
5 stars: This is really the only way to use Samsung pay. Watch works wonderful the phone apps works like c*** now. Don't know what it was they did to the new NFC technology in the phones but it sucks. Thumbs up to the watch. One other thing they need to change is the voice to text. The gear S is flawless the gear S3 sucks. Can understand why the old technology beats out the new an for this reason I give it a 3 in a half. If they could update the voice to text it would get an easy 5.
5 stars: I am updating my original 2 stars to a 5 star. I have a tattoo around my entire wrist, a cuff, and it would stop the watch from knowing it was being worn. As a result notifications wouldn't come through. Samsung replied to my original comment and within a couple weeks they added added the ability to have notifications sent while the watch isn't detecting that it's being worn.
