5 stars: Great outdoor walking/driving community game. PokeGyms are real life points of interest like art, monuments, museums, public builings, churches, etc., so you learn about a town and its history as you play the game. It CAN still be played without spending money, but they keep making it harder to progress fast, like doubling the cost of a remote raid pass.
4 stars: I love that this game brings Pokemon to the real world. I just always have a surplus of items and without the ability to spend money to upgrade. I am stuck to progress in some aspects. I would love if there was a feature where you could sell items back to them shop, to earn coin so then being able to afford upgrades. Allowing me to play more often.
3 stars: Wish game play was more stable. The issue of the week is that routes just don't open anymore. I can see them, but clicking one causes the routes screen to freeze in the foreground and I have to restart the app to clear it. Overall it's a great game, but for how much money they must be pulling it, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of beta testing (and don't even get me started how Niantic's response to customer feedback)...
