4 stars: I only bought online for the switch to play New Horizons with some friends, with the older systems you could connect without an online account, but it isn't expensive so I dont mind. I only use it for Animal crossing so I dont know how the rest of the app is, but it's easy to type on instead of the switch and it's great to put qr codes into your game.
4 stars: This is a really great app! I use it all the time. But, the voice chat does glitch sometimes so you can't hear the other person and it says they left the voice chat. Sometimes even after leaving voice chat and then going back in doesn't work. But overall, it's a great app and I highly recommend this app if you want to talk to your friends while playing.
3 stars: Not amazing but, pretty good. I like how you can see online friends and get your friend code directly from the app now. The voice chat system ost amazing but if you dont have any other options, it works fine i guess. Definitely needs to be compatible with more games though. Like add mario strikers or nintendo switch sports.
3 stars: The Nintendo Switch online app and service in general is not very good, don't get me wrong, I did enjoy some of the use for Splatoon 2 when I was away from the console. But being forced to use an app instead of mic chat being part of the games is inconvenient and most of the time I forget the games have voice chat.
