3 stars: I used to love this app but not so much anymore. The pop-up ads are annoying especially since most articles have their own ads. And now, dinky music just plays in the background. At first I thought it was an article ad but after closing the article, it kept playing. After i close the app, it keeps playing unless I force stop the app....very annoying!
5 stars: Today's technology is helping in many ways. After getting up in the morning, with a cup of coffee, SmartNews keeps me well informed of current News situation. With a glance you see brief short and simple ongoing News, with more detail opening the article to continue. Can't ask for more! Good work to the application team.👍
4 stars: I've been following SmartNews for a couple of years now and generally enjoy and appreciate its' quick and easy access and fairly good initial coverage. Occasionally I think they play to the quickest-story-out syndrome over the best-coverage-out ideal but they are very good about following up with later and better coverage. I appreciate all of their efforts.
4 stars: It gives a good range of subject matter. One shortcoming is that you cannot search (at least) the headlines. Quite often there's an article I didn't have time to read at the moment, but scrolling back through the articles is nearly impossible, and usually drop off after about 36 hrs (I'm guessing at the time frame here), meaning the article is \
