5 stars: Surprising, in a good way. The art style is a lovely blend of art nouveau, Banner Saga, and Samurai Jack. It has various modes to cover different flavours of gameplay such as match 3, turn base, idle etc. I was very impressed with the character background stories. Small errors aside, the stories are a welcome addition to what I first thought was just another pretty gacha game. Overall, delightful and fun.
5 stars: I've been playing for almost two years, I love the game and how frequently the devs make updates and try out new things. The game has a fantastic community and with a bit of help and patience, even F2P players can make it to late game and get the most out of the experience. I'm excited to see where AFK Arena is going to go from here.
4 stars: The game itself is pretty fun with a lot of things packed into it. The community seems to be pretty awesome and interaction thus far has been great. Obviously, there are the bad eggs you'll find but for the most part, people who chat are pretty chill. Progression in itself will come easier to those who look up guides but ultimately, play how you'd like. As the name goes, AFK and come back later to progress.
