5 stars: I've been using Strava since 2015 and love it! You can choose over 30 different activities including cycling, running, swimming and walking. Strava can be used to log a wide range of ride data including GPS tracked route displayed on a map, speed, distance, power output and heart rate and users can sign up for a variety of motivational challenges, such as those which set a distance or climbing target to meet.
5 stars: New: Great app. Great job of Garmin and Zwift integration. Does a great job of finding segments on running routes. Doesn't affect me personally but should moderate out a few obvious cyclers that are in running records. Old (I was mad with network issues on a holiday): Network error, please try again later (why?).
4 stars: Strava is the go to app for cycling and running due to its social nature. However, the recent changes that hid most options behind a paywall feel rather money hungry. As a coach, a lot of my athletes like to keep tabs on their leaderboard progression which is no longer a possibility unless you pay for the subscription service. All this said, the cost is very reasonable and the paid service gets you quite a lot of data for the price.
