4 stars: Good game, all about getting on the green. Putting is always 1 putt and far too many balls go straight in the hole from off the green. Long term players have more ability in their clubs and can manage short cuts. They seem to get satisfaction from this unfair advantage. An empty victory I feel. There are some fair and gracious players, which makes it an enjoyable game
3 stars: Takes forever to upgrade clubs. You play opponents who have upgraded clubs throughout the game. Needs to match opponents with same skill and clubs as you have. Not a bad golf game but be prepared to be quite frustrated and forfeit a lot of games while you try to obtain the same level of clubs as your opponent. Of course they want you to spend money to upgrade faster. Lol.
4 stars: This game is fun but the holes go to a tiebreak almost every time. The putting is a joke and no one ever misses. If you get in the rough or a sand trap you can just hit out of it and then you're close enough to the green that it doesn't penalize you. Something has to change or it just gets boring. Might as well just start with the tiebreak.
3 stars: If you want the the real perks you have to spend some money. It's a good game other than that, but I don't believe the skill involved in a video game should be based on equipment rather than operator input. Especially when you must do micropurchases, one after another, with the other option being that you can't compete with those who do.
